Watch the complete Social Planner workflow, from choosing channels to scheduled publishing.
Consistent social publishing usually breaks down between having an idea and getting it onto the calendar. The content is ready, but uploading media, checking formats, and returning at the right time to publish becomes another task that loses priority during a busy mortgage week.
LoanOfficer.ai's Social Planner puts the setup in one workflow. Choose connected channels, add an image or video, write the caption, inspect the live preview, select feed, Reel, or Story, and publish now or schedule the exact date and time.
This guide expands the short walkthrough into a repeatable operating process. Watch the English Academy lesson or share the Spanish training with a bilingual team.
1. Start with the destination, not the caption
Open Marketing, select Social Planner, and choose New Post. Before writing or uploading, select the connected channels that should receive the post. This creates a clear publishing destination for the content you are about to prepare.
Channel selection matters because one piece of media can have several possible uses. A short vertical video may be a Reel; a branded market graphic may belong in the feed; a temporary update may fit a Story. Decide where the content belongs before polishing copy for a format you will not use.
2. Add media and caption in one editing pass
Drag the image or video into the media area, then paste or write the caption. Keeping both in the same editor lets you evaluate whether the words and visual tell the same story instead of treating them as separate production steps.
For mortgage content, make the opening line useful on its own. Name the question, update, or borrower situation the post addresses. The walkthrough focuses on the publishing workflow; your company remains responsible for reviewing claims, disclosures, licensing requirements, and approved language before any post goes live.
3. Use the live preview as a quality-control step
The preview on the right shows how the post will look. Do not treat it as decoration. Check the crop, caption breaks, selected channels, and whether the important information remains readable in the displayed format.
A useful process is to preview once after adding media, again after choosing the format, and once more immediately before scheduling. Those checks catch common mistakes such as the wrong account, a clipped visual, or a caption copied from a different campaign.
4. Match the format to the asset
Social Planner shows feed, Reel, and Story options. In the training, a short vertical video is assigned to Reel. The point is not that every video should become a Reel; it is that the selected format should match the shape and purpose of the asset.
If one asset needs different crops or copy for different destinations, prepare separate posts rather than forcing one version into every placement. The scheduler saves time, but it should not replace a final check of what followers will actually see.
5. Choose immediate or scheduled publishing
Under When to Publish, choose Publish Now when timing is immediate or Schedule for Later when the post belongs at a future date and time. Set the date and time, then click Schedule.
The scheduled post appears on the calendar and in the Up Next list. In the walkthrough, blue means scheduled and green means published. That visual status makes the calendar useful as an operating view rather than merely an archive.
6. Build a weekly scheduling routine
A practical weekly routine starts with approved media and copy, not an empty composer. Gather the week's posts, match each one to its intended channel and format, then schedule them in one focused session. Use the calendar to check spacing and prevent several posts from clustering accidentally.
After scheduling, review Up Next. Confirm the channel, date, time, format, visual, and caption for each item. When a post publishes, verify the green status and check the destination directly if the content is time-sensitive.
7. Keep human review in the workflow
Scheduling removes the need to be online at the publishing moment; it does not remove editorial responsibility. A mortgage professional should still approve the content, destination, and timing before it enters the queue.
Create a simple review standard for factual accuracy, fair-lending considerations, licensing and company disclosures, image rights, and the destination of any link. The strongest social workflow is fast because review is repeatable, not because review is skipped.
