LoanOfficer.ai customers can now connect a SendGrid account as their outbound email provider using SMTP relay, so borrower follow-ups, AI replies, campaigns, and Property Pulse reports send from the loan officer's own authenticated domain with their own deliverability reporting. Setup takes about five minutes and a training video is published in the Academy in English and Spanish.

LoanOfficer.ai, the AI-powered CRM built exclusively for mortgage professionals, today announced a SendGrid email integration that lets each user route outbound mail through their own SendGrid account over SMTP relay. The integration is available now to all customers at no additional cost and is configured per user, so every member of a mortgage team can send from the sending identity they control.
Sending Identity Moves to the Loan Officer: Email is the backbone of mortgage follow-up — pre-approval next steps, document requests, rate-drop notices, monthly Property Pulse equity reports, and long-term database nurture. Connecting SendGrid moves that sending onto an account the originator owns, with their own authenticated domain, their own sender reputation, and their own reporting on opens, bounces, spam complaints, and suppression lists.
How the Setup Works: In User Settings, under User Information, loan officers open Calendar & Email Integrations and click Add New. They enter SendGrid as the provider name, paste the username SendGrid supplies on its Email API → Integration Guide → SMTP Relay screen, and enter smtp.sendgrid.net as the SMTP server with port 25, 587, or 465 for SSL connections. The password field takes a SendGrid API key generated inside SendGrid rather than an account password. After clicking Create Provider and refreshing, the SendGrid account appears in the integration list and can be selected as the default outbound email.
One Default, Every Send: Once SendGrid is selected as the default outbound provider, every message the platform sends routes through that connection — one-to-one replies typed by the loan officer, automated responses from the AI assistant, evergreen campaign sends, and scheduled property and rate reports. That consistency matters for deliverability: recipients, inbox providers, and filtering systems see a single authenticated sender rather than mixed infrastructure.
Built for Team Deployment: Because the integration lives in each user's own settings, a branch or team can standardize on SendGrid while keeping per-user sending separation. API keys are generated and revoked in SendGrid, so an originator leaving a team can have their key rotated without disturbing anyone else's mail flow.
Part of a Broader Integration Layer: The SendGrid connection joins the platform's existing integrations, including LOS connections to ARIVE, Encompass, LendingPad, and Calyx, calendar and email sync, and Zapier. LoanOfficer.ai's position is that a mortgage CRM should sit inside a loan officer's existing stack rather than replace it, and that the systems carrying borrower communication should be owned by the originator.
Availability: The SendGrid email integration is live now for every LoanOfficer.ai account. A step-by-step training video is published in the LoanOfficer.ai Academy in English at loanofficer.ai/academy/integrations/connect-sendgrid and in Spanish at loanofficer.ai/es/academia/integraciones/conectar-sendgrid. Setup questions can be sent to support@loanofficer.ai. New users can try the platform for $1 for 14 days.
