Two new User Settings controls help mortgage teams play a recording notice on qualifying calls and choose who answers newly contacted numbers.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. — 10/1/2026
LoanOfficer.ai, the mortgage-first CRM, today announced two new User Settings controls for phone and messaging workflows: Play a recording notice and AI auto-reply to new numbers. The controls give teams a clearer way to configure a pre-call disclosure and decide whether AI or a person handles the first reply from a number that is not yet in contacts.
Recording Notice for Qualifying Calls: When Play a recording notice is enabled, a notice plays before the conversation begins on calls to the user's LoanOfficer.ai number and calls placed with Quick Call, as shown in the release. The notice states that the call may be recorded and transcribed.
A Workflow Aid, Not a Legal Determination: A software notice does not determine whether recording or transcription is permitted in every situation. Mortgage companies remain responsible for applicable notice and consent requirements, carrier rules, company policy, retention choices, and guidance from compliance or legal professionals.
Control Over New-Number Replies: AI auto-reply to new numbers governs whether AI automatically responds when a number that is not in the user's contacts sends a text. Teams that prefer a human-first workflow can disable the option and answer those new numbers themselves.
Clear Ownership When Automation Is Off: Disabling an automatic first response makes human operating discipline more important. Teams should identify who monitors new messages, expected response coverage, escalation steps, and how contacts are added or routed after the first exchange.
Availability and Training: The controls are available now in LoanOfficer.ai User Settings. English training is available at loanofficer.ai/academy/crm/recording-notice-ai-auto-reply-controls, Spanish training is available at loanofficer.ai/es/academia/crm/aviso-grabacion-respuesta-automatica-ia, and the release video is at youtu.be/1HNbBix7HjE. New customers can start a 14-day trial for $1 at loanofficer.ai/trial.
