This walkthrough shows how administrators can control call recording from Phone settings, disable audio recording, and choose which calls may retain a transcript without keeping the audio.
Open the Phone area in settings and locate Call Recording. This central control applies to inbound and outbound calls made through your company's LoanOfficer.ai numbers. Review the current configuration before changing it so the team understands what will be retained after the update.
Use the Call recording control to turn audio recording on or off. When it is turned off, calls can still appear in Call History even though the audio itself is not retained.
When audio recording is off, the settings shown in this release let an administrator choose which calls may keep a transcript without keeping the audio. The available choices can include all calls or selected call groups already configured for the account.
Treat the setting as one part of a broader communications policy. Define who may change it, which calls qualify for transcript retention, how long records should remain available, and who may access them. Revisit the configuration when the company adds phone numbers, markets, teams, or call groups.
