Introduction

LoanOfficer.ai now includes built-in calendar booking features designed specifically for loan officers. Instead of relying on a separate scheduling tool, you can manage borrower appointments, booking links, and calendar visibility directly inside the CRM.

The new calendar experience works similarly to tools like Calendly. Borrowers can open your booking page, choose a day and time that works for them, and book a meeting without a back-and-forth conversation. The appointment is then added to your calendar, with availability checked against the calendar you already have connected in your user settings.

This update builds on the existing AI assistant booking workflow. The AI assistant has already been able to schedule appointments during text conversations with borrowers. For example, if a borrower says they want a pre-qualification call on Thursday at 11, the AI can help book that appointment and place it on your calendar. The new feature adds a self-service option: borrowers can now click a link and book directly on their own.

Why this matters

Calendar booking is one of the most important parts of converting borrower interest into a real conversation. When a borrower is ready to talk, you want to make scheduling as simple as possible.

Before this update, loan officers who wanted a public booking page often needed a separate tool. That meant another subscription, another calendar system to manage, and another link to maintain in emails, websites, and text messages.

With the new LoanOfficer.ai calendar booking features, you can keep more of that workflow inside one platform. This helps you:

For busy loan officers, this can make a meaningful difference. Fewer manual scheduling messages means more time for borrower conversations, realtor relationships, and active files.

How it works

The calendar now includes booking capabilities inside LoanOfficer.ai. You can share your calendar with borrowers using a standard booking link or website embed options.

When borrowers open your booking page, they can view available dates and select the day they want to speak with you. After choosing an available appointment time, they continue through the booking flow and confirm the meeting.

The system also works with the calendar connected in your user settings. If you have your Google or Outlook calendar linked, LoanOfficer.ai checks that calendar for existing conflicts when showing availability.

The calendar also includes improved viewing options. You can switch between:

This makes it easier to review your schedule at different levels. Month view helps with planning. Week view is useful for managing upcoming calls. Day view is helpful when you need to focus on the appointments immediately in front of you.

You can also create additional calendar categories. For example, you may want a separate category for realtor meetings. Each category can have its own color, making it easier to visually organize different types of appointments.

Step-by-step

To use the new calendar booking features, start from the calendar area in LoanOfficer.ai.

1. Open your calendar.

Go to the calendar section of the platform. This is where you can view your appointments, manage your schedule, and access sharing options.

2. Select your preferred calendar view.

Choose whether you want to view your schedule by month, week, or individual day. Use the view that best matches the way you plan your work.

3. Open the sharing options.

Click the option labeled “Share My Calendar.” This is where you can access the different ways to distribute your booking page.

4. Choose how you want to share the calendar.

You can use a standard booking link, embed the calendar on a website, or use one of the available website display styles such as inline, pop-up, or badge.

5. Copy the link or website code.

If you are sharing a simple booking page, copy the calendar link. If you are adding the booking calendar to a website, select the website option and copy the code for the style you want.

6. Add the link where borrowers will see it.

You can place the booking link in your email signature, send it manually to borrowers, or make it available to the AI assistant so it can share the link during borrower conversations.

7. Add embed code to your website if needed.

If another company manages your website, send them the copied website code. They can place it on the appropriate page using the inline, pop-up, or badge style you selected.

8. Create categories for appointment types.

If you want to organize meetings by type, create a new calendar category. For example, you can create a realtor meeting category, select a color, and save it for future use.

Best practices

Use your booking link anywhere borrowers are likely to take action. Good placements include email signatures, website contact pages, lead follow-up messages, and AI assistant conversations.

Keep the borrower experience simple. If the goal is to book a pre-qualification call, make sure the link you share clearly supports that next step. A borrower should not have to guess what the meeting is for or how to schedule it.

Use website embeds strategically. An inline calendar can work well on a dedicated scheduling or contact page. A pop-up or badge may be useful when you want the booking option available without taking up a large section of the page.

Take advantage of categories. A color-coded calendar is easier to scan, especially if your day includes borrower calls, realtor meetings, internal follow-ups, and other appointment types.

Confirm that your external calendar is connected. If you use Google or Outlook, make sure the right calendar is linked in user settings so the system can check for conflicts against your existing schedule.

Let the AI assistant help with booking. If a borrower is already texting with the AI assistant, the assistant can send the booking link so the borrower can choose a convenient time without waiting for manual coordination.

Common mistakes

One common mistake is continuing to use a separate booking tool when the same workflow can now be handled inside LoanOfficer.ai. If your goal is to simplify your tech stack, review where your old booking links are being used and consider replacing them with your LoanOfficer.ai calendar link.

Another mistake is only placing the link in one location. Borrowers may interact with you through email, SMS, your website, or AI assistant conversations. The more consistently your booking option appears in the right places, the easier it is for borrowers to take action.

A third mistake is ignoring category organization. If every appointment looks the same on your calendar, it can be harder to understand your day at a glance. Custom categories and colors make your schedule more readable.

Finally, if your website is managed by a third party, do not try to guess where the embed code belongs. Copy the appropriate website code from the calendar sharing section and provide it to your web team or website provider.

Example workflow

A borrower submits a lead and begins texting with the AI assistant. During the conversation, the borrower says they would like to talk about getting pre-qualified but does not commit to a specific time.

Instead of forcing a manual back-and-forth, the AI assistant can send the borrower your booking link. The borrower opens the link, reviews available times, selects a day and appointment slot, and books the meeting.

Because your Google or Outlook calendar is connected in user settings, LoanOfficer.ai checks your existing schedule for conflicts. Once the borrower books, the appointment is added to your calendar.

Later, you review your calendar in week view. You can see borrower calls alongside other appointments. If you have created categories, appointments such as realtor meetings can appear in a different color, making the week easier to understand.

If you also want borrowers to book from your website, you open the calendar, click “Share My Calendar,” choose the website section, select an inline, pop-up, or badge style, and copy the code. If another company manages your website, you send them that code so they can add the booking experience to the site.

Summary

The new LoanOfficer.ai calendar booking features give loan officers a built-in way to share availability, accept borrower bookings, and keep scheduling connected to the CRM.

Borrowers can book from a link, the AI assistant can send that link during conversations, and your website can display the booking experience using embed options such as inline, pop-up, or badge. The calendar can be viewed by month, week, or day, and custom categories help organize different appointment types.

[00:00] One thing that I did want to go over on the call today is the updates to the calendar that we just released. We have updated the calendar so that it has built-in booking capabilities, similar to Calendly. [00:31] Essentially, the AI assistant has already been able to do bookings with borrowers while it is having conversations with them. For example, if they are texting back and forth and the borrower wants to do a pre-qualification call on Thursday at 11, the AI will book it for them and put it on your calendar. [01:02] But we have not had the ability to send borrowers a link to book on their own, which is what a lot of people have requested. So we have gone ahead and built that capability into the system now. [01:33] Now we can get the link to your calendar booking page. When borrowers click on it, it will show your calendar. They can click on the day they want to talk to you, choose when they want to set the appointment, click next, and then book the meeting. [02:04] That is the upgrade we have made to the calendar system specifically. You will now be able to share the calendar with your borrowers. You can also embed it directly into your website as an inline option, a pop-up, or a badge. [02:35] This can be put into your signatures as well. And, of course, there is a standard booking link that can be dropped into your AI assistant. The AI assistant can send it to borrowers too, so the appointment booking is handled within the system. [03:06] We have also made additional upgrades to the viewability of the platform. You can view your calendar as a month, a week, or a single individual day. [03:37] There is also the ability to customize and create additional categories. Maybe you want to have a realtor meeting category. You can create a new one, select the color you like, and hit save. [04:08] Now, anytime the calendar books appointments to those categories, they will be linked as that specific category. These are the updates we have rolled out this week on the loan officer calendar. [04:39] You will not have to have a separate calendar through Calendly. You can do all of your bookings directly through our platform. Of course, it will still be linked to whatever calendar you have connected in user settings. [05:10] If you have it set up with Google or Outlook, it will check for conflicts against existing appointments. If you are using another company for your website, you may be wondering how to get that link into the new website. [05:41] You can do it from here depending on how you want it displayed. The code is right here. When you are on the calendar, click where it says “Share My Calendar.” [06:12] Under that section, click on website. Depending on the style you want, you can select one of the options and then copy that piece of code. That is what you would provide for the website.
