Pennymac has rolled out the VA partial claim option and the Department of Veterans Affairs’ new servicing waterfall ahead of a Nov. 28 implementation deadline, according to HousingWire. The report said Pennymac described itself as the first large servicer to implement the new programs.
That matters because VA borrowers in hardship often call the loan officer they know before they call the servicing department. For mortgage professionals, this is servicing news, but it can shape borrower conversations, referral partner questions, and how teams handle past-client outreach.
